New serialization from Sasaki Kotoko-san begins this month! Every month, she makes a poster that everyone would want to post up at their house. For the inaugural first issue, we start with skincare theme!
Let's start with an introduction… My name is Sasaki Kotoko, born in Saitama prefecture. I was born in 1998 and currently 25 years old. Right now my main work is "LoveLive! Hasunosora Girls School Idol Club" (as Yuugiri Tsuzuri), meanwhile being a host of a new radio program "Sasaki Kotoko no sasai na koto" which just started in April. My favorite things are… snacks, especially cookies. I like things that has a strong butter taste, or something crispy. Also, I like fried potatoes and salty things too. I love snacks so much I could replace my meals with it, but my mom warned me "When you pass 2526 years old, your body will suddenly change and you'll be fat". After I heard that, I thought of trying to eat my meals properly, and reduce amount of snacks I eat. But in the end I still eat snacks as usual (laughs). I love it that much. I also like cats, I have one called Ash-kun, he's becoming 1 and a half year old already. I've been regularly posting his picture since he was young, so I believe most fans should know about him already (laughs).
As for how the serialization started, I wanted to show people myself in different looks every issue. With that, making posters of products, works, or events (?) sounds interesting as a concept, hence becoming the title "Post up Kotoko".
The first issue's theme is "Skincare". When I think about skincare there is a strong image of being "moisturized". At the photoshoot, I wanted to show that "I'm moisturized", so I try put my hands next to my face to express that (laughs). There is not just close-up face photos, but there is also full-body photo and one where I sit on the floor. Looking forward to see how the photo came out. I wish I could make it a real poster, and have everyone decorate their house with it… maybe if it's going to happen, a poster with Ash-kun would be nice (smile).
Thankfully there are many people complementing that my skin is white, and some asking for the secret, but in reality it's just genetics (laughs). As for what I do to take care of my skin, I always put on sunscreen when going outside in summer or when I go somewhere outside the city, somewhere that has a few people, I cover my face with a cloth… Looks like necks are very vulnerable to sunburn. I also use parasols too… I only be careful of my skin in summer. But as I age, I thought about taking care of my skin more outside summer… but it ended up the same situation as snacks (laughs). As for other things that I'm careful about beauty-wise is keeping myself moisturized because my skin gets dry easily. However, I don't use a toner much. I use it in the summer, but in the winter it's cold and I don't want it to be cold up to my elbow (laughs). That's why I only use a lotion with cream, sometimes with cleansing toner. This way my skin becomes less dry!
If we talk about beauty, sleep is also important. Before I live with Ash-kun, when I can't sleep I will play with my phone, even if the sun comes up I look at it and say to myself "Ah, the sun came out it's beautiful" (laughs), I only sleep when I feel sleepy. That's how it is normally and when there is work the next day I force myself to sleep. But when I start sleeping together with Ash-kun, I never had moments where I can't sleep anymore! That's why if you want to sleep well, you should get a cat. You don't sleep on your timing, but you sleep when Ash-kun is sleeping. When I went inside my futon and play with my phone, sleepy Ash-kun usually walk to me. That's a sign of sleep time, so I turn off the lights. After that as I pat Ash-kun, I feel asleep before I knew it.
This time we did a skincare poster, but I want to try make poster for something like a very red lipstick, or some old popular cosmetic product too. Next time we had a photo shoot with a totally different look so please look forward to it!
Things that Kotoko wants to get into
I bought an auto-cooking pot that has a mixer inside which can also heat up. I liked it. Seems like it's very popular that the person at the store said "It just came out but we don't get much stock at our store". I use that to make a pumpkin soup and it turned out very delicious. You can use frozen pumpkin that you cut and saved in the freezer, put it into the pot alongside minced onion, milk and butter and just press a button to cook. Quite handy! Lately I decided that I need to eat more vegetables, so to overcome that I want to try make different vegetable soups too.
