Starting to watch Hasunosora? This guide can show you around.

Introduction

I decided to write this guide as Hasunosora 3D animated movie was announced. It seems to attract many people's interest in Hasunosora's story.

From the teaser, it looks like the story will take place in the future where Kozue returns to Hasunosora. That means, there is a lot of catching up to do if anyone want to prepare themselves for the movie.

Hasunosora is notorious for it's incredibly long story (42 hours and still counting). But that's due to the real-time nature of the franchise plus 1 hour of content coming out every month. That puts a very big barrier for people to step in the franchise.

However, I've found that everyone I've successfully encouraged to watch the story has genuinely loved it. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to try a few episodes before deciding it's not for you.

The guide is probably biased to how I enjoy Hasunosora. I collected links of content you can watch on online and hopefully you can just go through them one by one. I also added some more info that I remembered too as extra context which I find interesting.

Activity records, Fes×LIVE and With×MEETS are three main pillars of Hasunosora content.

The activity records are what happened before/during the time it's updated. It is updated in an irregular schedule. For example, an episode might update at 6pm after they just finished an event, or right after Fes×LIVE. So you might feel there are some jumps in between parts, usually there will be some other gaps in between. Activity records are usually updated in 2-3 parts per episodes.

Fes×LIVE are virtual lives and With×MEETS are regular streams which users are watching from first person perspective. These are not strictly required when following Hasu but gives you a lot of immersion. There might be some lore drop here and there but you'll learn about it from watching Activity Records. I include a few of them here which has a lot of context. (Another way some people enjoy Hasunosora is to ignore all activity records and watch purely With×MEETS, purely watching from first person)

You can watch only activity records without the Fes×LIVEs, that will save you time but it might feel incomplete, equivalent to watching other LoveLive! anime without insert songs.
